Last September, I had to cancel a fabric market date with a very good friend in a town not too far away because I was broke (as is the case 95% of the time). As compensation, I promised her we would go on a weekend trip to Amsterdam for some sightseeing and general fun. And what can I say? The train tickets are bought, reservations made (with a youth hostel with rather mixed online reviews, from "Wonderful!" to "Rats!") and I am generally giddy. Mind you, I haven't been out of the country (or on vacation, except for family visits) since our school trip to GB in 2001. And now we will have a whole weekend for a girl-stuff weekend in a city I have never been to. Awesome.
So, we have planned to visit two markets and will most likely do some sightseeing and fun stuff. And the thing I am looking foward to most is, of course, Dutch fast food. Best in the world. Or maybe my taste buds are twisted because I am half Dutch, who knows? Anyway, I plan to take the camera with me (hopefully not forget to charge the battery) and report when we return. And until then there will be plenty of time for me to come up with ideas and possible horror scenarios.

Haven't even been off the North American continent, but I would LOVE to see Amsterdam - and the rest of Europe! I perfer the movie Eurotrip for ridiculous pop culture reference.
