A game of tag

I've been tagged over at The Multi-Faceted Experience! Now trying to come up with stuff I haven't said before...

Rules:
1. Post these rules.
2. You must post 11 random things about yourself.
3. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post.
4. Create 11 new questions for the people you tag to answer.
5. Go to their blog and tell them that you have tagged them.
6. No stuff in the tagging section about ‘you are tagged if you are reading this.’ blah blah blah, you legitimately have to tag 11 people! (Diandra says: I don't give a crap how you tag people or if you tag people at all. This is supposed to be fun. ^^ )

11 random things about me:
1. I have been debating whether to cut my hair or not. I love it long, but I would also love to try something new. The only time I had short hair, at the age of 10 or such, my mother got me a horrible "cookpot cut", and it took me ages to grow it back. Hence I am hesitating...
2. Sometimes I feel ashamed for watching a movie because I know I'd just watch it for the nice view. I've got rather high expectations of myself when it  comes to personality development, which I clearly do not meet. But I am kind of okay with that.
3. Sometimes I think I do not want children, because they would take up too much time. Most of the times, however, I am convinced I would make a great mother and have lots of fun doing so. (Yes, I know that "fun" is not exactly the correct description. You know what I mean.)
4. Last night I started baking my famous cheesecake at 10.00 P.M. - that's usually the time I fall into bed to read some more.
5. My knowledge on modern "pop culture" is so poor I do not eve nknow whether it is still called "pop culture". (Is it?)
6. I studied Japanese and Arab at school. Now ask me how much I can use those two languages without the help of a dictionary. Right. Rather pathetic, isn't it. (Not giving up!)
7. I do not think I would ever make a good housewife or SAHM. Housework is boring, and I would terribly miss translating. Unless I could be writing full-time, of course.
8. At work, we used to have a "most disgusting picture of the week" competition. I've seen some really stomach-churning stuff since I started working in the medical field.
9. I am always afraid of trying new stuff or going new places. I am way more comfortable if I know the procedures, where everything is etc. Using the bathroom at a place I have never been to before is terrifying.
10. I think that modern cities are just a part of nature, same as ant hills and beehives.
11. One day I want to own a beautiful saree. Wouldn't know how to wrap it, though.

11 questions I get to answer:
1. If you could transport yourself into any book, which one would it be and why?  I am not quite sure... many books I love are rather dark and violent, and part of the fun is sitting at home, rather safe, and enjoying stuff that would kill you in the real world. Well, as long as I was sure to come out alive, I would love visiting the Merry Gentry series or such. ^^
2. What did you want to be when you grew up? I've always wanted to be a writer.
3. If you could go anywhere, this world or beyond, where would it be and why? Everywhere.
4. What decade or era do you think you belong in and why? I would have made a great Hippie.
5. Who inspires you in life and how? I find inspiration all kinds of places, couldn't pin it to a single person. The things I read about on your blogs are often inspiring. The things I read about in books, dito. Movies, tiny experiences. People I meet on the street. Yeah, I am easily inspired. ^^
6. What is your greatest accomplishment? I felt like a superstar the day my first story got picked up for publication.
7. What is your most prized possession, holds the most memories or means the most to you? The one material thing I love the most at the moment is my Kindle. It sleeps in my bed with me.
8. Do you have a favorite quote or mantra? What is it? Actually, I've got two. "Remember that you're perfect - the gods make no mistakes" and "Make today better than yesterday."
9. What is your favorite movie? That's tough, because there are lots of movies I like and watch over and over again. But if I could sit down right now with a movie and a cup of tea, I would watch "Paperback Hero" - it's not too philosophical, but it's funny and sunshiny and has got nice eye-candy. ^^
10. What is your favorite mythical, fantasy type creature (i.e. vampires, unicorns, etc)? Yesterday I polished a short story on the Ahool, which I think is a rather interesting creature. I like cryptozoology and such.
11. If you had to debate one or the other... would it be politics or religion? Definitely politics. Politics are a matter of fact, whereas religion is all about believes and experiences. Hard to debate those.

 My 11 to tag are:

And my questions to them are:
1. What was your worst date, and why?
2. How do you like to eat your fruit?
3. What weird items would I find if I went through your wardrobe?
4. Which animal usually considered a pet scares you the most/do you find most disgusting?
5. How long would you survive in the wilderness and which skills would you use?
6. Is there something you always wanted to do but have been afraid to try?
7. What is the weirdest movie you have ever seen?
8. Which god or goddess scares you?
9. And which one annoys you the most?
10. Do you have any annoying habits?
11. Where do you want to be in three years?

Sweet, I was tagged :=) Great Idea, will be tagging and blogging later today. :)

The dreaded crockpot haircut, I had the same one, only I just called it a bowl cut, but oh I hated it!!

The pop culture thing - I didn't even think of that until you said it, and you're right! I also don't know if "young people" say that anymore.

And I have long thought of cities as similar to ant colonies - though a little less cooperative.

I definitely have made a great hippie... in fact... the hippie inside has been dying to get out! And I'm pretty partial to my Kindle too! Thanks for participating, it was great reading your responses :)

Blessings,
Kourtney

Next time you feel ashamed about watching a movie smack yourself, hard, and tell the sting that the slap was from me. What nonsense! You can learn lots of things from watching Harry Potter; like flying a broom or getting a high score at quidditch, for instance.

I shall answer my tag, soon ;-)
